Agreement

By using Flavor & Thyme, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app. Continued use after any updates to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this app. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 18, their account and data will be deleted immediately. If a parent or legal guardian discovers that a minor has created an account, they may contact us at info@flavorandthyme.com to request immediate deletion of the account and all associated data. We will process such requests promptly.

Use of the App
Personal use only

Flavor & Thyme is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the app or its content without prior written permission from Crystal Frazier.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or its underlying infrastructure. Automated access of any kind is prohibited.

Service availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time without notice. We are not liable for any interruption or discontinuation of service.

Not medical or dietary advice

Flavor & Thyme is a meal planning tool, not a medical or dietary service. Allergy and exclusion settings filter meal plan templates only and do not account for cross-contamination, preparation-specific ingredient variations, supplier changes, or restaurant and retailer substitutions. The app does not source real-time ingredient data from any food producer, retailer, or restaurant. Meal suggestions are generated from a curated database and may not reflect actual product formulations at the time of purchase or preparation. The app is not a substitute for reading physical ingredient labels. Users with food allergies, intolerances, or medical dietary requirements assume sole responsibility for verifying the safety of any meal or ingredient before consumption. Crystal Frazier, operating as Flavor & Thyme, expressly disclaims all liability for any allergic reaction, personal injury, illness, or adverse health outcome arising from use of or reliance on the app's allergy or exclusion features. If you have a life-threatening allergy, do not rely on this app as your primary safety mechanism.

User Content

You may add custom items to your grocery list. You retain ownership of any content you enter. By storing content in the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display it solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not review, share, or use your custom content for any other purpose.

Subscriptions & Purchases
Free tier

Core meal planning features are available at no cost. We reserve the right to adjust what is included in the free tier at any time.

Flavor & Thyme Premium

Premium features are available via a paid subscription. Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and included features will be disclosed clearly at the point of purchase. All purchases are processed through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective billing terms.

Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their refund policies — we do not process refunds directly.

Account & Termination
Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent — all associated data including meal plans, preferences, and allergy settings will be removed immediately and cannot be recovered.

Termination by us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, without notice. If a premium subscription is active at the time of termination for cause, no refund will be issued.

Savings Forecast Disclaimer

The Savings Forecast feature provides hypothetical estimates based on inputs you provide and a fixed assumption of 7% annual return compounded monthly — a commonly cited long-term average that is not guaranteed and may not reflect actual market conditions. Past market performance does not guarantee future results. These figures are illustrative only and do not constitute financial, investment, or tax advice. Actual results will vary based on your location, spending habits, ingredient costs, market conditions, and other factors outside our control. We make no guarantee of any specific financial outcome from using the app.

Intellectual Property

All content within the app — including the name "Flavor & Thyme," recipes, meal combinations, copy, and visual design — is the property of Crystal Frazier and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use any of it without prior written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crystal Frazier, operating as Flavor & Thyme, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $0 for free tier users.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the State of Washington. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the above, nothing in this clause limits the rights of EU residents to bring complaints before their local data protection supervisory authority or to seek relief in their local courts as permitted under applicable EU law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Any legal action arising from your use of the app shall be filed in the competent courts of the State of Washington.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. For material changes — including removal of free features or changes to subscription pricing — we will provide at least 30 days' notice by posting the update in the app or notifying you by email. For non-material changes, the revised terms take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the app after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
